Advertising is huge. In fact we have never been exposed to as much advertising as we are now and advertisers are willing to pay the big buck in order for their products to be exposed as much as possible.
There are companies that offer free cars and to get paid for driving – simply because you are helping them advertise their product or service. So how do these companies work and how can you get a hold of one?
The behind-scenes are very simple; a client pays a marketing company a lot of money to distribute their message. These marketing companies then will put an ad on either your car or their own. When a car with advertising message cruises around the city – that’s when the whole advertising happens. The more people see your car – the better. The marketing companies often offer free cars to people who are willing to drive them. Unfortunately this car will never be “really yours” however you will be able to use it for a few months or a few years, all depending on the contract – without paying for the actual car or even maintenance. Most of these companies will also cover the insurance payments since the car is registered to the company and not you directly. Although you will have to give the car back at some point – you will be keeping it on nights and weekends as well. If you ever decide to go visit some family or friends – you will certainly able to use that car, the marketing agency will only benefit from you offering more exposure.

Most of the time marketing companies will not deal directly with You, the potential driver, so if you have decided to visit every single marketing company in your town and ask for a car – good luck. The “middle man” deals directly with marketing and advertising agencies; they are the ones in charge of finding people with cars and/or finding people who will drive a brand new free car. These are the guy who will help you. They compile a list of potential drivers with descriptions (where you will be driving, how much driving you will be doing and so on) and whenever the marketing company needs to target a specific city/neighbourhood – they refer to that list in order to find the best candidate.

There are many different factors that influence their choice and we haven’t been able to get all the answers, however we were able to meet a few people who did actually receive their free cars, we found out that the companies will usually work with people exclusively from USA, Canada and UK, of course you need to have a valid driver’s license and no criminal record. The larger the city you live in – the more chances you have to be selected.
Unfortunately you cannot select the car you will be given; it could be a very small econo-box as much as it could be a big truck – however most of the time they use SUV type vehicles. As we expected you cannot choose the ads that will be put on the car either. It could be an ad for the new energy drink, a law firm, a coffee shop, brand clothing and pretty much anything else.
Most of these “rules” apply not only to those who will receive a free car but also to those who will use their own car and get paid to drive.
Once you sign up to be considered for these offers and when you actually get am offer – make sure to review the contract. Most companies are honest, however you do not want any bad surprises and reading the contract thoroughly before signing in will offer you the peace of mind, a pay check or even a free car.
